Go-to-Market Strategy, Support and Execution

What we Do..

We help develop, optimise and execute the “Go to Market” strategy of our clients.

  • “Go to Market” (Sales and Marketing) Strategy Development, Planning and Execution
  • Market Research and Analysis
  • Content Marketing development and execution, including guest blogging and whitepaper development
  • Social Media Strategy, Training and Management
  • Public and Analyst relations
  • Organisational change management, human resources support, coaching and mentoring
  • Event management and support

We’re a small firm – we like it that way, calling on a small number of freelancer associates as well as other small firms that we have worked closely with in the past to give us the breadth and reach required to support larger, more complex or specialist engagements as required. We believe this kind of “virtual agency” model benefits everybody – enabling the right mix and quantity of skills to bear without the associated overhead of a “traditional agency” model.

Artisans individually handcraft their products, with great skill and a focus on quality not quantity.

We like that philosophy.

What Our Clients Say…

“Working with Artisan Southwest we generated nearly 2.7M impressions over our social media channels in 2015, as well as double digit and sometimes triple digit growth in both the visibility and engagement metrics compared to 2014. Andrew’s strategic advice and tactical execution support were key elements in our success, and we look forward to continuing our relationship through 2016 and beyond”.

“I’ve worked with Andrew on many different projects over the years, but right now he is helping me shape and accelerate the social media strategy at NewVoiceMedia. His broad industry knowledge means that he is able to add much more value than simply adding followers on twitter. He is really helping us listen, understand and engage in social media as a business”

Tim Pickard, Chief Marketing Officer, NewVoiceMedia

“Andrew has helped us understand and redefine our position in the marketplace and in doing so has crystallised for us our future business and product strategy. He asks the right questions, and has brought clarity to our plans for the next phase of our business’ growth”.

Rob Pickering, CEO, ipcortex

“It’s been a real pleasure to call upon Andrew’s broad industry experience and security expertise. His input on the webcasts and whitepapers he has contributed to has really helped to add a valuable dimension to them, and I look forward to working with him again on future projects”.

Nicki Wallace, EMEA Marketing Director, SafeNet Inc.

Partners

We partner with a number of other small specialist firms to enable us to deliver great results, regardless of the project. Current partners that we are working with include:

Andrew is an associate with Quadriga Consulting. Our relationship enables us to work on joint projects to deliver expert market research and analysis across a broad range of market sectors.

A long standing relationship with Tim Wood at Blunt Pixel enables Artisan Southwest to offer a broad variety of design, web, and multi-media projects.

Opening up the US market may seem daunting to many, but with careful research, planning and execution it can be a lucrative business expansion opportunity. Drawing on years of experience and relationships in North America, Artisan Southwest have formed a partnership with Boston, Massachusetts, based 41ºNorth Consulting to enable organisations to do just that. Headed by Nicki Doggart, former US CEO for Hotel Chocolat, and responsible for establishing that brand in the US, the partnership enables South West brands to access the expertise required on both sides of the pond to make a successful entry into the North American market.

Andrew Moloney

Andrew Moloney

Andrew is a technology industry veteran having spent over twenty years working in a variety of marketing, business development and management roles during that time.  In early 2011 though he decided that it was time to make a change. Relocating with his family from the South East of the UK to the South West, he established Artisan Southwest.

Prior to founding the company Andrew served as the EMEA Marketing Director for RSA, The Security Division of EMC. He joined RSA Security prior to its acquisition by EMC, in 2005 initially working exclusively with the retail banking and cards sectors of the financial services industry in developing strategies to combat fraud. This developed into a period of time running the financial services business at RSA, before being asked to lead the marketing function across EMEA.

Over the years Andrew has become a well known speaker and commentator on information security and technology  issues and has appeared in print, online and broadcast media including Channel 4 News, Sky News, the Times and RTE Radio (Ireland). He has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars across the world.

Jacqueline Breslin

Jacqueline Breslin

With over twenty years experience in human resources, change management and coaching in both small and large multi-national organisations, public and private sector, Jacqueline is now working with our clients as they seek to grow and develop their businesses. These engagements vary from short term, project based assignments to supporting some clients on an on-going basis.

The bedrock of her HR experience was gained in the IT industry at a time when change was the ‘status quo’.  Mergers and Acquisitions, large scale restructuring and redundancy programmes with off-shoring of functions involving TUPE transfers were regular activities alongside the more usual and fundamental recruitment, performance management, development and compensation activities.

Since studying organisational culture and change for her degree thesis Jacqueline has always been interested in how individual and organisations interests align and how to maximise this for the benefit of both. Clearly this is the ‘holy grail’ for the HR practitioner.   Having trained in coaching and as a qualified counsellor Jacqueline is adept at helping individuals to recognise areas for development, resistance to change and the steps necessary to successfully realise their goals.  During her time working for the global HR services provider Penna she provided career focused transition coaching to people following redundancy.

Despite taking a career break to raise her son, Jacqueline continued to use her skills to start a community initiative which has gone from strength to strength over the past seven years.  In 2011 she returned to work as part of the leadership team of a federation of schools before deciding to join Artisan Southwest in 2014.

Andrew Moloney and the Artisan Southwest team are frequently engaged by businesses and individuals to help develop and execute their Social Media Strategy.

Workshops and training sessions have been delivered across many different Industry segments including Food and Drink, Technology, Legal,  Education, and Travel and Tourism.

Not Just About Marketing

However, while the “challenge” may initially present itself as a need to know how to use social media tools as part of a marketing plan,  in many cases it becomes quickly apparent that there is a more fundamental need to further clarify the broader business objectives and resulting sales and marketing strategy.  Social Media is only as good as the quality and context of the communication. Indeed, executed properly it has the ability to touch and improve many facets of an organisation’s business operation, reaching far outside of marketing alone.

The Artisan Southwest team are highly skilled professionals, able to quickly adapt any training session to meet the needs, and often evolving requirements of the audience.  In many instances they are able to open up totally new opportunities Social Media
